چکیده
In Brazil's Cerrado region, habitat degradation and loss due to fragmentation of native vegetation is a growing problem, affecting the population stability several species. The matrix that surrounds patches remnant in this landscape often composed mosaic unsuitable environments, including urban areas soybean (Glycine max) plantations. Cerrado, importance parks conserving biodiversity well documented for some invertebrate groups (Landscape Urban Plan 2007; doi.org/10.1016/j.landurbplan.2006.11.004) (Environ Entomol 2019; doi.org/10.1093/ee/nvy176) but less so vertebrates, especially those with lower motility. Nonetheless, by planning managing as collection interconnected greenspaces, it possible achieve necessary conditions allow successful dispersal between even maintenance stable populations species strong site fidelity, not limited endangered taxa. These photographs document an interaction boa (Boa constrictor; Boidae) its prey, picazuro pigeon (Patagioenas picazuro; Columbidae), park Uberlândia, Brazil. snake remains motionless branch embaúba tree (Cecropia pachystachya; Urticaceae), moving capture birds use branches perches. An ongoing municipal project Uberlândia aims create green corridors connecting adjacent parks. Records such confirm projects. By turning into effective refuges routes within otherwise inhospitable matrix, planners can help reduce impact humans on wildlife.

Proximity to urban parks and mental health.
BACKGROUND Urban parks have received attention in recent years as a possible environmental factor that could encourage physical activity, prevent obesity, and reduce the incidence of chronic conditions. Despite long hypothesized benefits of parks for mental health, few park studies incorporate mental health measures. AIMS OF THE STUDY To test the association between proximity to urban parks a...
